What to expect, and what to do on the day of a dance
- Around noon, we will update the website with the latest dance status.
- In the afternoon, check the dance status. Ensure you see a current date-and-time-stamp.
- Someone might cancel late in the day. Before you leave home for the dance, check again for quorum. Refresh the web-page!
- If the website schedule shows the dance is canceled, and your RSVP is in the count, send email/text so that we know you are aware.
- If you are unsure about anything, contact us!
- If we do not have an RSVP from you, do not show up to the dance unannounced.
- We do NOT use our front door. The steps are weirdly staggered. Instead we use our side door, at the side of our house, at the top of the driveway. About 5 cars can park at the top of our driveway. Overflow parking is down on the street-side grass.
- If you happen to arrive early, please come on in. We're usually ready for people 30 minutes before. Some dancers arrive early and we chat until everyone else arrives.
Helpful hint: Bookmark our website on your smartphone. On an iPhone, once you have Schlitter.com loaded on your browser, hit the "Send" button (looks like a box with up-arrow) and you can save as a Favorite or Bookmark, or even "Add to Home Screen" so it looks like an App!
